Actual Rings Being Used

My original rings (two brass solid rings and one center split ring) "bit the dust" last year. At first I tried to repace them wth three cheap split rings. Well, you get what you pay for. First time out when trying to bring down my jib, the split rings came apart.

The above picture shows what I am going to try next. Two solid stainless steel rings with two chain links to secure the rings to the forestay. I just hope this works.
